This week in l’Express, Elvira Masson, reviewed as her resto under 30 €, the largely cocktail place Le Secret, coordinates given before, which also serves club sandwiches and chicken nems; while F-R Gaudry reviewed as his place of the week Thoumieux, coordinates well known, talking about the pate pizza, calamari a la carbonara and vacherin, among other things.
Wednesday in Le Figaroscope, Emmanuel Rubin gave his photo, long description and 3 hearts to J-F Piege’s Thoumieux, coordinates known, where he enjoyed the calamari, pork belly and churros (Spanish doughnuts), costing 40-50 € a la carte ; and gave two hearts to the Thai Baan Lek in the 4th. One heart each went to M64, 64 ave Marceau in the 8th, 01.44.43.36.50 open 7/7, aggressively costing 35-42 for lunch, 64 € for dinner for caviar pate, langoustines lasagna and a millefeuille; Le Comptoir des Artistes, 25 Fbg St-Martin in the 10th, 01.42.08.34.33, closed Sundays, with a 20 formula at lunch but 40-45 € at dinner, serving snails and duck breast; and the Cafe Piaf, 74 rue des Archives in the 3rd, 01.42.78.00.87, closed Sundays, costing 12 for gambas with risotto and 15 € for chicken with sauteed veggies.

As usual, Francois Simon follows the theme and ate at Coupe-Chou, 9-11, rue de Lanneau in the 5th where he ate an “acceptable” meal of rabbit terrine, duck thigh and banana tiramisu costing 121.30 € for two. Go ? On condition that you won’t be exiled with the tourists.
Also this week in Le Figaro, a number of authors talked of the most “in” places in Paris, which included: the Caffe dei Cioppi, Les Papilles, Le 1728 + La Cave de l’Os a Moelle
Wednesday, Richard Hesse in Paris Update “tried a new restaurant [Le Palais des Mèdes] in Paris this week, but found it so uninspiring that he decided to write about a gourmet restaurant near Rennes, La Fontaine aux Perles, instead.”
