Lao Lane Xang 2, 102 Ave d’Ivry in the 13th, 01 58 89 00 00, closed Wednesdays, is a perfect place for holiday lunches. An interesting point is that it's now run by a bunch that has not only the original Lao Lane Xang 1, at 105 Ave d’Ivry but also Rouammith, at 103 which the responsibles assured me has the same food.
In any case, on this frigid Nordic day, we ventured out to have lunch with our old pal the RFC, except he went yesterday and vowed to return, but............. So we ordered and had three superb dishes:
Crevettes
Crispy skinned lacquered duck
Sauteed mussels
With rice, a trio of sorbets, wine and coffee the bill was an astonishing 65 Euros.
