Tuesday, in Le Fooding, Yves Nespoulous reviewed the vaguely West Side (NYC) looking combined cocktail bar/chic steakhouse Beef Club, 58, rue Jean-Jacques-Rousseau in the 1st, 09.52.52.89.34, open 7 PM to 2 AM, closed Sundays and Mondays, costing 36-50 E for green asparagus, langoustines, lobster, bass ceviche, os a moelle, pork and of course English Yorkshire beef (galloway, longhorn, shorthorn).
On Wednesday, in Figaroscope, Emmanuel Rubin reviewed his usual five places, giving three hearts to the Japanese chef, Akihiro Horikoshi from ex-l’Ambrosie who now hold forth at the Table d’Aki in the 7th, coordinates given before as well as two hearts each to Youpi et Voila in the 10th, coordinates also given before and Helen in the 8th, see above. One heart each went to Bozart Bistrot, 9, rue Jean-Pierre-Timbaud in the 11th, 01.43.57.69.83, closed Sundays where there are lunch mnus from 13-17 E, dinner 35 E, for eggs Mimosa, pressed veal and a chocolate fondant; and the W Lounge in the Hotel W Opera, 4, rue Meyerbeer in the 9th, 01.77.48.94.94, open 7/7, running one 15-30 E for items such as ham croquettes and a club sandwich.
