It occurred to me as I was walking through the Poncelet market that some mention of such wonderful resources should be made. Although I live on a market street and thus take for granted the daily displays of cheese, vegetables, fruits, fish and meat, for many visitors they are a revelation, perhaps the most Parisian of Parisian sights.
So in case you've forgotten Patricia Wells and Calvin Trillin's tour - here's a remembrance: wondrerful, even in the rain.
