I’ve been coming to the great FIAC exhibition not for the 35 years it’s been held but as often as possible. Why? Because despite the dreck that some of the almost 200 galleries from around the world choose to showcase, there’s a lot of interesting stuff.
Now there are three sideshows, sort of like the Fringe at the Edinburgh Festival, that flow away from the Big Palace.
One of them called Art-Elysees is housed in two big tents along the Champs and for those able to go through October 26th I recommend the booths of the following galleries:
Palmyre
Christophe Gaillard
Lucie Weill & Seligmann
Les Yeux Fertilles
Nordine Zidoun, featured in today’s Figaro
Scheiden (Paul)
Veronique Smagghe +
Beatrice Soulie.
I intend to return tomorrow for the big FIAC but one show I will miss now and forever is:
