When I heard that one of my favorite, beautiful actresses, Juliette Binoche was “exposing herself” at the Artcurial, I rushed on over. Of course, by now you realize how bad my French translation skills are. The works are identically sized and framed drawings and poems and show some talent. After all, this actress turned dancer turned artist (those works in Les Amants du Pont-Neuf, were hers) is a polymath.
As an end to my Artcurial visit, I poked my head upstairs to see what was being auctioned off next week and was appalled at the second-rate stuff, even by first-rate painters such as Boudin, Pissarro and Utrillo, is estimated to fetch 40,000 €uros and up next week. Good luck!
