The son of a colleague asked if I knew of any reasonably-priced hotels in Paris earlier this year and I said no.
Since we've owned our place, now some 20 years, we've seen the interior of only a couple of places and how can one judge them from that. I simply feel I cannot recommend anything I don't know.
But, when we had dinner with this nice guy, he was so enthusiastic I thought I should pass the name on.
So here it is:
The Hotel St-Pierre
4, Rue Ecole de Médecine
75006 Paris, France
+33 1 46 34 78 80
One person 78-80 Euros
His comments were: "the.... Hotel St. Pierre is perfectly located, just two blocks from the Odeon Metro stop on Rue de ecoles des medecins. A room with double bed, shower, WC, air conditioning, and a TV cost only 78 euros for single use. A steal for Paris, it seems. The hotel even has an elevator for those that care about such things. Decor is a little dowdy, but the hotel is in a superb location. Stay away from the breakfast, however, which will set you back 6 euro for decidedly lackluster baked goods in favor of grabbing a cafe au lait and pain au chocolat at the bar next door or at the bakery a few doors down."
I've been dreaming to be in Paris since my childhood and as promised to my self that 3-4 years from now I'll see my self unwinding at Paris, I'll surely visit this one great place to stay in. Thanks for sharing the information.
