Albert Marquet at Drouot: 200-300 E for drawings - sure.

Having seen a nice article in Les Echos about the huge sale of 1050 drawings of this school pal of Matisse's I thought to myself, we need a nice new nautical drawing and this stuff for 200-300 E is a steal - sure, if the estimators lived on planet Earth.  Unfortunately, if women are from Venus and men from Mars, estimators at Drouot are from Star SN 2005ap, 4.7 billion light years from reality.  The first little one of a sailboat I saw sold went for over 1500 E and an erotic nude, and he did a lot of positions of joy girls, was estimated to go for 40,000 E so that's at least a million bucks; so I walked.  I have no pix but some examples are here.  Oh, tmrw more go on sale; the catalogue is 20 E.
