My Winnipeg at the Maison Rouge: "the worst show of the year?"

 

I kind of like the Maison Rouge over along the Port de Plaisance - it often has interesting art.  But this My Winnipeg show consisting of photos, paintings, video-art and sculpture was one of the worst I've seen ever.  Now before a lot of Canadians write me hate mail, let me say that I spent almost every summer during childhood in Canada with my grand-parents and extended family, was almost born there (my brother was born, died and buried there) and I love Canada - it's civilized, has a great health system (actually systems) and is beautiful - this show is not reflective of that Canada.  Sorry.
