Well, wonder no more. Hugo de Saint Phalle (hummm, wonder what the lineage is from Niki?) and Alexandra Michot wrote an article in Le Figaro Saturday October 1st about seven of them. And amazingly to me, they’re all apparently doing well.
#1 on their list is Anne Alassane who won Master Chef last year, and who has converted her family’s stable in Mantauban (82000) into a farm auberge called La Pays-Anne but where one must order meats, such as shoulder of lamb, in advance.
#2 is Pierre Auge, a finalist on Top Chef 1, is involved with a tapas/rendez-vous with pals place called La Maison de Petit Pierre in Beziers (34500) where he is only around at the start of the service.
#3 is Brice Morvant, a semi-finalist on Top Chef 1, who runs a counter resto at the St-Martin covered market in the 10th called Au Comptoir de Brice, that was nicely reviewed in l’Express. He mans his post all the time.
#4 is Alexandre Dionisio, another semi-finalist on Top Chef 1, who runs the elegant and chic bistro, Alexandre, in Brussels, and is also there all the time.
#5 is Paul-Arthur Berlan a finalist in Top Chef 2, who runs the metro-retro-bistro Metropolitan on the Rue de Jouy in the 8th that was favorably mentioned by the gang at A Nous Paris and who is also present.
Next #6 is Ronan Kernan, from Top Chef 2, who runs a gastro-lounge Cote Cour in Aix-en-Provence who is most apparent in his “open kitchen” and is near another winner – Romain (Master Chef 1) who’s involved with Apero Bistrot.
Finally #7 is Gregory Cuilleron of “Un diner presque parfait” who runs Epicerie & Compagne a neo-epicerie-bistrot in Sainte-Foy-les Lyon and is present.
Then there are two, Georgiana Viou of Master Chef and Romain Tishenko of Top Chef 1 who’ve already written books – respectively, Ma Cuisine de Marseilles and Du Style dans l’Assiette.
Later news: In the JDD the next day, Aurelie Chaigneau reported that said Romain Tishenko has arrived at the 20-cover Le Galopin in the 10th (not to be confused with the larger Belle Epoque brasserie/palace in the 2nd). She rated it a 7/10.
