Wednesday, Emmanuel Rubin reviewed his usual 5 restaurants, this week all French: giving a 3 hearts to 24 the Restaurant, 24, rue Jean-Mermoz in the 8th, closed Sundays and Mondays, 01.42.56.24.94, where for 28 and 32 E at lunch (menus) and 60-90 E at dinner, one dines on items such as poached egg, line-caught maigre and red fruits for dessert. Garnering 2 hearts were the epicerie besides the aforementioned Papillon, called Le Garde Manger in the 17th; Sequana, 72, quai des Orfevres in the 1st, the former Rendezvous des Chauffeurs, 01.43.29.78.81 closed Sundays and Mondays, with menus at 32 (lunch), 47 and 67 E (dinner) serving items such as asparagus soup, lamb cutlet and apple tatin; and Jean Mouloud, 195 rue Championnet in the 18th, 01.83.56.29.75, closed Sundays at dinner, where for 13 & 15 at lunch or 35-45 E a la carte at dinner, one has items such as angel hair pasta with chevre, a lobe of foie gras and a moelleux. Getting just one heart was Patuco in the 11th.
