5.7 Nous 4, 3 rue Beccaria in the 12th, 01.75.57.77.48, closed Sundays and Mondays (Metro: Gare de Lyon) has already been singled out by Gault/Millau as featuring as its chef a “young talent,” Stephane Browne who at 37 has worked all over including at the House of Ducasse. For lunch it’s a 2-2-1 deal for 25€ and the place was packed to the rafters.
I started out with a poached egg on top of a purée of mushrooms and lentils which was very good; indeed perfect for the freezing weather; followed by undercooked but tough pieces of roast beef offset by a great sauce/gravy and vegetables; finishing with roasted pears.
With a half bottle of wine, called Antidote, no bottled water but a coffee and quite good grain bread, my bill would be 78€ a couple. Db’s = 80.4
Go? This is another example of a cozy modern neighborhood (see below) bistro, the kind of place folks come in and seat themselves, but unless one lives nearby, it’s not a “destination.”
